Project Smith Community Connectors Programme Lambeth

Project Smith is a co-produced, resident-led community development programme which develops a team of community connectors, focussed on wellbeing.

Recruited on a ward-by-ward basis, local residents joined together to design a training programme to support them in individual and group activities. This included behaviour change training from the RSPH and Wheel of Wellbeing training developed jointly by SLAM NHS Trust and RBE Associates.

The programme also includes ongoing supervision and support called ‘safari’.  A ‘safari’ enables the connectors to visit services around the borough and learn more about them in order that they might signpost individuals to them.
